Lost World Found

The kingdom, called Tambora, disappeared in a matter of minutes in 1815, under billions of tons of rock and ash during a violent volcanic eruption. The Indonesian Pompei has been found recently. This volcano eruption had brought on crop failures and starvation and created a scene out of a Monty Python Movie, The Holy Grail. Fall went straight to summer creating what is called the "Year Without a Summer" in 1816.

More about the "Year Without a Summer" can be seen on the History Channels recent show on the Little Ice Age; Big Chill.

"Scientists call it the Little Ice Age--but its impact was anything but small. From 1300 to 1850, a period of cataclysmic cold caused havoc. It froze Viking colonists in Greenland, accelerated the Black Death in Europe, decimated the Spanish Armada, and helped trigger the French Revolution. The Little Ice Age reshaped the world in ways that now seem the stuff of fantasy--New York Harbor froze and people walked from Manhattan to Staten Island, Eskimos sailed kayaks as far south as Scotland, and "the year without a summer" saw two feet of snow fell on New England one June and July." Also last week Indonesia had claimed to find another "lost world". This was one of the animal Kingdon. Filled with never seen before animal and birds along with those thought to be extinct.
